环球播报:尊重，体验，包容，我们在BMH感受独特的万圣节 | A SPOOK-TACULAR HALLOWEEN AT BMH

在BMH的校园，我们有来自世界各地的成员，也因此得到多元文化的滋养。我们在教学中不断强调与培养每个学生带着尊重与包容去看待每一种文化，去理解每一个文化现象背后的内涵与蕴意。对于处在快速发展和不断融合的世界里的孩子们来说，这是一件具有长远意义的事。

每年10月31日，世界各地都会庆祝万圣节，人们打扮成他们最喜欢的恐怖人物，参加 "不给钱就捣蛋"、敲苹果和刻南瓜的活动。今天我们也在校园里看到了孩子们装扮成了吸血鬼、女巫、鬼魂（还有零星的蜘蛛侠），来切身感受和庆祝万圣节这一文化节日。

在BMH，万圣节的早晨以英语课堂里精心设计的活动作为开始。我们的小小“可爱鬼”们以万圣节为主题练习他们的读写能力。一年级到七年级的孩子们都在各自的英语课堂享受着各种有趣的任务，从万圣节宾果游戏、单词搜索，到南瓜高尔夫、寻宝活动，无一不吸引着学生们的参与。

五年级的学生在课堂上发挥了令人“毛骨悚然”的创造力，独自创作了以恐怖为主题的短篇小说。来自P5B的刘成同学更是以一个“恐怖屋”的故事为这个万圣节添加了神秘色彩，看看这个故事是怎么被各个年级同学精彩演绎的吧。

而这一天的活动在全校的万圣节服装游行中达到了高潮！孩子们穿着自己的创意服饰在操场进行展示，校领导团队在其中为每个班级的万圣装束进行打分，选出最独具匠心的班级。孩子们穿着自己精心准备的服装，和小伙伴们一同享受节日带来的欢乐，为BMH的10月画下了完美句号。

Zombies, vampires, witches, ghosts (and the odd Spiderman) horridly haunted our BMH campus on Monday to celebrate the cultural festival of Halloween. Every year on 31st October, Halloween is observed all around the world by people dressing up as their favourite scary characters and taking part in ‘trick or treating’, apple-bobbing and pumpkin carving.

At BMH, Monday morning began with English carousel activities where our mini ghouls practised their literacy skills on a Halloween theme. Children from Prep 1 to Senior 7 joined the English team and enjoyed a variety of wickedly fun tasks from Halloween bingo and word searches, to pumpkin golf and a spooky scavenger hunt.

The day culminated in a whole-school costume parade, adjudicated by members of SLT who awarded House points to the best-dressed classes. Children thoroughly enjoyed presenting their creative costumes and our campus was, yet again, filled with cackles and screeches of jubilation from our cohort of little fiends!
